the bloody blog: the sudden shift of ideology

Let me first put things in order. This blog is created as part of the requirements in my CMSC 2 class. I personally don't blog about anything at all. i thought that blogging is one of those things that blurs the then clear delineation of the private and public life. I care a lot about privacy, private property, and ownership (whether of physical things and of ideas). And I thought that the sacredness of things, of moments will be lost if everyone gets to read it without personal involvement in the issue/situation.

Ironically though, i have other social networking accounts which I maintain such as friendster, multiply, facebook et cetera. But sticking to my then-views made me more of a spectator rather than a player. A commentator (literally because what I only do is post comments on pics and blogs) rather than a post-er. A receiver rather than a source. And then I thought of wanting to be the source. Somewone who relays. Someone who's ideas and thoughts are talked about because of their novelty, down-to-earthness and what-have-yous. So I thought, maybe blogging is not bad after all. As the rule of techno use states, the responsibility of handling the technics and implements are still in the hands and brains of the human beings utilizing them.

So here it is. My first (official) blog acount/entry. This won't be personal, this won't talk about mushiness and overflowing need to tell everyone about what they're feeling about someone, or something. I'm sure a lot of people do it, and well it's ok, but that's just not me.

So my blog will contain thoughts, views, and anlysis of things such as pop culture, politics, international relations, stories, films, books and other things that happen to be my interest. Issues that can be argued for and against; theories than can be refuted, constructed, deconstructed and reconstructed; political issues that can be disseccted, pop culture and the world of media and their impacts on me and the institutitons. these are the things and topics that interest me. (blame parliament:UPLB debate society for all these).

I do not promise to post blogs about everything i wrote. But I think as the situation necessitates my views (and rants), i'll discuss them.

There are so much information and things that are flying around to be discussed and argued. I hope this attempt at blogging my conception of the world and the infrastructures and pillars that support and destroy it will be interesting. Interesting enough to be read.
